What Christmas is About

Hopes and dreams. This time of the year, a lot of those are poured out into the world; whether it's for material goods, a grand adventure, time with loved ones, a warm meal, or even just a meaningful smile. Many reference it as a magical time in which they focus their energy in positive directions, while many others have a different experience or simply don't care for the theatrics.

Regardless of your beliefs or past experiences, you can change the way you feel. I am empathetic to all sides and feel deeply for those in need. It can be easy to start down that long and lonely path, but you'll never be successful at helping others transition if you are stuck along side them in the bitter grey cloud of defeat.

When I write to you, it's not only to inspire you. My goal is much more broad. I cast my magic so as to assist you in casting your true self on others, in hopes that they are inspired by you and go on to carry the same message as well.

I also want you to know, I've been there. I've traveled dark paths alongside the goblins and trolls of the world. I have seen the dungeon we can put our minds in. I've placed myself there before, locking my true self away from the outer shell that levitated through the forest of life. I've never completely escaped the fog outside the dungeon walls. A piece of me will always remember and stay behind to remind me of the taste. But I'll never subject myself to that prison again.

Sure, I've had others call to their gifts and show me inspiration and kindness to help me awaken, but I had to take action and make positive choices to build the mental and physical strength to release myself from "its" grasp. I'm here to tell you, it's not as difficult as you let yourself believe. Even the smallest efforts yield the biggest rewards. You simply cannot progress if you do not strengthen your will.

You are the most powerful enemy you'll ever face. Your mind can be the most despairing confine you will ever experience. But remember, you are the only person that can stop and turn it around. Any troll or goblin can become a warrior or wizard. It's a matter of choice. A metal decision can change the whole game. Now, go be amazing!
